This web site is sponsored by ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) of thyroid cancer survivors, family members, and health care professionals, begun in 1995 and advised by a Medical Advisory Council of more than 50 thyroid cancer specialists.
The medical information on the web site and in ThyCa’s publications is developed through the combined efforts of physician specialists, patients, and caregivers. Physician specialists provide significant input and review.
Sources for the site’s medical information, downloadable publications, and videos include the following:

They include endocrinologists, surgeons, nuclear medicine physicians, oncologists, pathologists, and others. This page gives more information about each Medical Advisor.
- Additional thyroid cancer specialists who have spoken at ThyCa’s conferences, workshops, and seminars. Lists of event speakers and their affiliations are on this page.
- Individual physicians who authored specific articles and pages; their names are listed below the article title.
- Professional medical associations and cancer research institutions, including the American Thyroid Association for the Physician Guidelines Page and the U.S. National Cancer Institute for much information about clinical trials.
