The first book in 2015 has sold thousands of copies and includes 84 stories from 66 Meddie authors—Meddie is what survivors of medullary thyroid cancer call themselves.

Volume 2, available in September, includes 93 new stories and poems from 73 Meddies, plus dozens of pieces of artwork and photos by Meddies.

The subjects in both books are unique and are mostly about the emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth of those living with a rare cancer.
