About the Study

The goal of this research study is to understand the experience of people who were told they had something in their thyroid that was (or might be) cancer, but who decided not to have surgery right away.

The researchers are collecting people’s stories about their thyroid nodules. The stories will be organized into a format that can be shared with others.

The study is supported by Dartmouth College.

Study Director is Louise Davies, M.D., M.S., Associate Professor of Surgery and of TDI. Her affiliations also include Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Norris Cotton Cancer Center, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Hanover, New Hampshire. Dr. Davies is also the Chief of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at the White River Junction VA, White River Junction, Vermont.

Thank you for your help!
