The guest speaker at the free meeting of the ThyCa Philadelphia NW support group was Jean Caola from Genzyme, makers of Thyrogen, which is given in two injections prior to RAI scans and treatment. It eliminates the need to withdraw from thyroid replacement therapy prior to these procedures.
