ThyCa Long Island holds FREE virtual meetings on the Zoom platform as shown in the calendar below, at our regular time, 1:00 to 3:00 PM Eastern Time. Members of our group or others are welcome. Please e-mail our group facilitator at firstname.lastname@example.org for connection info. We will continue to meet online until the shelter-in-place order has been lifted and ThyCa approves a return to in-person meetings. We look forward to seeing you there.

|Special Events:||The guest speaker at our October 11 meeting is Justin Yowzawitz, MD, a Northwell Health affiliated endocrine surgeon. Dr. Yowzawitz will be discussing hyperparathyroidism. He will review normal parathyroid function as well as the nature and management of parathyroid disorders, both hyper- and hypoparathyroidism.
Dr. Yozawitz is a fellowship trained endocrine surgeon who received his medical degree from State University of New York Upstate Medical University. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. He is a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, the American Thyroid Association, and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Yozawitz is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery. He is affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital.
