Free Texas/Southwest Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Workshop Near Dallas, Texas, Will Feature Physician Speakers, a Dietitian, and a Pharmacist

On Saturday, May 16, 2009, everyone interested in thyroid cancer is invited to the Texas/Southwest Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Workshop. ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association, Inc., will offer this FREE one-day workshop for thyroid cancer survivors, their families, caregivers, and friends.

This educational and supportive event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Medical Center Plano, Building III, 3rd Floor Auditorium, 4001 West 15th Street, Plano, TX 75093.

This event is free. You may attend part, or all, of the workshop. You may register online at www.thyca.org (form is available on the web site) or onsite at the workshop.

Physicians and other specialists will speak and answer questions about thyroid cancer treatment, long-term monitoring, and research advances. The workshop is co-sponsored by the University of California San Diego Medical Center and ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association, Inc. (www.thyca.org).
