FREE for Your Physician: American Thyroid Association Guidelines
Available from ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc.

Dear Friends,

YOU can help others yet to be diagnosed!

We invite you to take part in an initiative of ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association (www.thyca.org) and the American Thyroid Association to reach primary care physicians and gynecologists—those who are often first to detect a thyroid nodule—with key research-based information on diagnosing and managing differentiated thyroid cancer.

It’s easy. It’s important.

With the growth in incidence of thyroid cancer—the fastest increasing of any cancer—we believe that giving our own physicians the latest information about thyroid cancer management will be an important way to help early detection and appropriate treatment.

ThyCa is making available to physicians, at no charge, the ATA Management Guidelines for Patients with Thyroid Nodules and Differentiated Thyroid Cancer, and the ATA Guidelines for Medullary Thyroid Cancer. These also are available free for downloading.

Here’s how it works. You’re invited to select one of these options:

  • Send your doctor’s name and mailing address to thyca@thyca.org and we’ll do the rest.

Or…

  • Invite your doctor to contact ThyCa by e-mail, fax, or phone, for a copy of the Guidelines.

This project also helps highlight ThyCa-sponsored Thyroid Cancer Awareness
Month, in September, as well as our year-round awareness and education efforts.

Together, we can help improve early detection, diagnosis, and prompt and appropriate treatment for others with thyroid cancer.

We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you very much for your support!

Sincerely,

ThyCa’s Outreach Team
